On Monday, the Wildcats fell behind early and couldn’t cath up with Jenks losing 11-1 on the road. Jenks scored 3 runs in the 1st inning off Ponca City starter Casey Anderson. Anderson took the loss going one and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on three hits. Austin Wilkins and PO Seals had the lone hits for the Wildcats in the loss.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats played Jenks at home and again fell behind early, eventually losing 13-2. Ponca City gave up 3 in the 1st again, but it was the 4th inning that was the Wildcats real downfall. The Wildcats got an RBI from Cody Ryan in the 3rd to mkae it a 3-1 game and then Jenks erupted for 6 runs in the 4th to secure the win. Aaron Hosack took the loss for Ponca City. He surrendered nine runs on five hits over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Cody Ryan would have a nice day at the plate, with 3-hits and 2 RBI’s. Ponca City is now 4-14 on the season with their next game scheduled for Thursday against Sapulpa.
