The Ponca City Lady Cats softball team won their final regular season game of the year over the Enid Pacers 9-0 on Thursday in front of the home crowd. Kelci Hasenfratz went 5 innings before the game ended by run rule. Hasenfratz moved her record to 20-8 striking out 5 Pacers and only gave up 3 hits. The offense provided more than enough as the Wildcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first as short stop Sam Elliot had an RBI single and catcher Kylie Murry added an RBI sac fly. In the second inning the Lady cats pounded in four runs with hits throughout the lineup. The Lady Cats would finish off their scoring with three more in the bottom of the fourth. Elliot finished with 3 hits and 3 RBI’s and the cleanup hitter Murray would finish the game with 4 RBI’s. 8 out of the 9 batters would reach base for the Lady Cats. Leadoff hitter Kylie Hopkins had two singles and scored two runs and 3B Bailey Johnson would add a double and an RBI. Ponca City now gets ready for regional play at Owasso as they take on Bartlesville in the first round on Thursday the 5th at 2 pm.
