Ponca City starter Tanner Denton was cruising throught the Bartlesville lineup, holding a 2-0 lead, until the top of the 5th when three Ponca City pitchers combined to give up 9 runs. Bartlesville would hold on for a 10-4 victory. Denton would go 3 up and 3 down in the first two innings and Ponca City scored two in the second inning on fielding error and a walk to Eli Wohl with the bases loaded. The Bruins answered back the the 9 run 5th inning as they batted 14 times in the inning. Center Fielder John Cone would have two doubles in the inning, Jakob Hall and Noah Yearout would also reach base twice in the inning for Batlesville. Tanner Denton would also lead the way from the plate, collecting 3 hits for the Wildcats. With the loss, the Wildcats are now 4-17 on the season and host Blackwell Friday night.
